Pro-Tech Weapons

The ATA's weapons program is designed to improve hand speed and manual dexterity. All beginning level students start with foam and rubber weapons to ensure safety. Weapons are taught in progressive degrees of difficulty. The following is a list of required weapons by rank:

1st Degree -   Single Ssahng Joel Bahng (nun-chucks),
                        Single Bahng Mahng ee (bamboo stick),
                        Oh Sung Do (Broad Sword).

2nd Degree -  Double Sshang Joel Bahng,
                        Double Bahng Mahng ee,
                        Ssahng Nat (Kamas)

3rd Degree -  Mid Range Jahng Bahng -(Bo Staff)
                        Long Range Jahng Bahng -(Bo Staff)

4th Degree -   Je Pahng Ee-(Cane),
                        Som Dan Bohng (Three Section Staff)

Additional Weapons not tied to rank - Gum Do (Sword), Dragon Wind Staff

Comabat Weapons Sparring - New Program. Sparring using a specially designed Bahng Mahng Ee. Fast paced and a lot of fun.
