| One of our favorite activities is the semi
annual retreat in
Idyllwild California. These retreats, held at Idyllwild
Park, typically take place in April and October. The campsite is
close to 6000 feet high so it can get very cold at night (for
California) . Temperatures in the 30's are common and we have
even had it drop down as low as the mid 20's. The April retreat
is a Leadership Camp and the October retreat is for our Black
Belt Ceremony. The retreats are open to all students and their
families. Each retreat has a Saturday morning workout followed
by a Pot-Luck and then ending the day with a big campfire in the
evening. The park is less than an hours drive from either
location (French
Valley or
Menifee). Many of our families go up for the weekend. There
are campsites available in the park or B&B's and hotels in town,
a five minute drive from the Park.
