The ATA either Hosts or
Sanctions three types of
tournaments. World & National, Regional, and Class "C" or
In-School Tournaments. The result is a system of closed
tournaments that function under a common set of rules and
judging criteria. The tournaments are open to ATA, or
international affiliates, the WTTU, STF, or ATTU members only.
Competitors compete in Age and Rank specific divisions in
Traditional Forms,
Traditional Weapons,
Point Style
Sparring,
and ATA Extreme (a theatrical performance art designed to
engage and entertain the audience) Forms and Weapons. Black
Belts Earn Points towards finishing in the World Top-Ten.
Leadership students compete for a State High Point Title |
